Solène Beauty Atelier

Solène Beauty Atelier is a template demo for a fictional private beauty studio in Amsterdam — bridal styling, hair, skin and nail work, all booked as considered, unhurried appointments rather than shared-chair walk-ins. We built it to show what a higher-end beauty brand's site should feel like: editorial, not a menu of services.

The design leans into mixed typography — script-accented swash letters dropped into display headlines — bordered feature grids, and thin container grid-lines that carry through every section, so the whole site reads as one considered layout rather than a stack of unrelated blocks. Bridal packages get their own tiered pricing table, and a full case-study 'journey' section walks a bride through consultation to final touches.

The contact page carries a real appointment-request flow — pick a service, then a date and time from a custom calendar-style picker built to match the site's own editorial grid, not a native browser date field — alongside a general enquiry form, with a Calendly-ready fallback for when a real link is dropped in. The booking CTAs are worded to match what's actually happening — 'Request Consultation' rather than a 'Reserve Now' that implied a live calendar before one exists. Finished off with a fully working dark mode: a bottom-corner toggle bubble that swaps the whole palette via CSS custom properties, with no flash of the wrong theme on load.
